This week’s theme is about At Risk Kids: what we’ve learned, and how this information can change their lives. Quoting our CEO, Michael Simpson, at risk kids are kids who, “either the educational system has given up on them or they’ve given up on the educational system”. We work with organizations that help these students get to a behavioral point where they will be able to learn and be in the classroom again.
The interesting commonality between the kids, we surveyed in these organizations, was that their lowest score was change. How can we expect these kids to learn when they are so resistant to change and adapting?
