PAIRIN Wins Contract for My Journey to Deliver Education, Certificate and Labor Market Data Analytics for the State of Florida

PAIRIN, the workforce journey company, has been selected by the Florida Department of Education to deliver its My Journey(™) platform to provide consistent data on all credentialing programs offered by Florida school districts, Florida technical colleges, Florida College System (FCS) institutions and other Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) eligible providers, so they can make informed decisions regarding policy and resource allocation.

PAIRIN will lead a team of partners including Credential Engine, Qlarion, Research Improving People’s Lives and SkillsEngine, to deliver groundbreaking data analytics capabilities through their My Journey platform. The platform will empower policy makers and other selected stakeholders across the state to evaluate Florida’s workforce programs’ alignment with industry needs, their overall performance, and the programs’ ability to accelerate an individual’s time to economic self-sufficiency.

The platform will enable more informed and data-driven state-wide funding and policy making, while also laying the foundation to seamlessly integrate state-wide credential data with advanced, multi-generational career and education pathways tools. It will enable professionals to identify gaps and undersupply of in-demand credentials at the local level, track the production of quality credentials and align that production with real time, localized quantitative labor market information — all in view of allowing all Floridians to better navigate education, training and career planning.

“The partnership with PAIRIN will connect key partners to our critical career, education and credential data, helping them make objective data-driven education and career decisions,”  said Henry Mack,Chancellor for Career, Technical and Adult Education at the Florida Department of Education. “This work is cutting-edge, and is essential for Governor DeSantis’ vision of becoming number one in workforce education by 2030.”

“Innovative states, like Florida, are leading our nation’s COVID-19 recovery by transforming their education and workforce systems to meet the skill and credential demands of their local employers,”  said Michael Simpson, chairman and CEO of PAIRIN. “We’re thrilled to have been selected for this opportunity and look forward to demonstrating how the My Journey platform can enhance career, education and resource planning across Florida.”

The initiative is led by the Florida Department of Education and supported by the Florida Governor’s Office, the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, its workforce board CareerSource Florida, and the Florida Department of Children and Family Services. Together, with PAIRIN and their partners, the team will deliver a dashboard within My Journey to provide quick access to skill, credential and labor market information.
