Names Dr. Tara Laughlin to lead curriculum development and teacher training
PAIRIN, Inc is proud to announce the recent appointment of Tara Laughlin, Ed.D. to the position of Readiness Curriculum Director.
Dr. Laughlin’s proven and unique methodology for integrating 21st century skills (often known as social emotional learning, non-cognitive, or soft skills) into curricula allows PAIRIN to offer a comprehensive solution for any educational or career readiness program.
“As we’ve worked with educators around the nation, it’s become clear that developing the whole student beyond traditional academic metrics is now a universal requirement,” said Michael Simpson, Co-founder and CEO of PAIRIN. “Tara’s unique experience will help us to provide educators everywhere with the tools needed to incorporate social emotional learning into their lessons through her proven methodology.”
Tara comes to PAIRIN with a strong background in the utility of social emotional education programs. She spent the first decade of her career as a teacher, helping students at the elementary and middle school levels to discover their personal potential. After earning an M.Ed. in Divergent Learning, she received an Ed.D. in Curriculum, Innovation, and Education Reform from the University of Northern Colorado. Tara spent 18 months engaged in dissertation research on the systematic integration of social emotional learning into classroom content.
