PAIRIN Awarded Denver Start-Up of the Year

The Denver Chamber of Commerce has awarded PAIRIN, a Denver-based social enterprise company, with the 2017 Start-Up Business of the Year award. The honor was bestowed upon PAIRIN at the Denver Chamber of Commerce’s annual Business Awards luncheon. This award recognizes new, emerging and fast-growing businesses that are advancing fresh ideas to meet a marketplace need and are infusing the spirit of entrepreneurism in all they do. Now in its fourth year, PAIRIN has seen significant growth over the past year and has partnered with well-known companies to bring its technology solution to a vast array of educational institutions and businesses including the University of Chicago, VA Opportunity Project, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Conduit Global and True Value.

PAIRIN is making education more relevant and hiring more equitable by taking extremely accurate, complicated science and making it friendly and accessible for any professional or student to use. PAIRIN’s system focuses on measuring the soft skills and mindsets that make up 75% of what is needed for long term job success. And, while other companies focus on one segment of the talent pipeline, PAIRIN’s unique approach targets the breadth of workforce development – from students and career seekers to the businesses doing the hiring – making this vast depth of knowledge the most expansive and impactful in existence.

“We are humbled and excited to represent Denver as the 2017 Start-Up Business of the Year,” said Michael Simpson, PAIRIN Co-founder and CEO. “We intentionally chose to start our company in Denver because it has a growth-minded, supportive business climate, and we are looking forward to growing alongside the city during this exciting time,” Michael added.

Building upon science backed by 60 years of research, PAIRIN measures, maps and develops over 100 soft skills and mindsets. Knowing that soft skills are more than 75% of what makes an individual successful in a program or job, PAIRIN’s tools are used across the entire workforce development pipeline to develop students and career seekers, evaluate job applicants and set growth goals for employees.
