System Updates FAQ

Attribute Update FAQ
In PAIRIN’s continued commitment to improvement, our research recently identified an opportunity for some changes that would result in a better reflection of the original science. Our science is rooted in The Adjective Check List (ACL) by Dr. Harrison Gough, which was created in 1949 to measure attributes of relating, thinking, motivation and character. We are committed to keeping our algorithms linked to this well-researched, validated science which serves as the foundation for PAIRIN’s tools.
Love of Learning was affected by the change in the Individuality algorithm. In this case, score changes will be nominal due to the fact that Individuality only accounts for 1/7th of Love of Learning.
Well-Being (Defined as: Global tendencies to maintain calm attitudes and behaviors when interacting with all people and situations) is a component of the Integrity algorithm, so the update to the Well-Being score will flow through to impact the overall score for Integrity.
Self-Regard and balance, Social responsibility and action, Accountability, Civic literacy and citizenship, Creativity and imagination, and Curiosity and inquisitiveness have been minimally affected by these changes due to Well-Being and Individuality being included in their subscales.
Most individuals will not be affected at all. Some individuals may see adjustments of a couple points, but in a sample set analyzed by PAIRIN, we found that less than 1% saw changes of 4-6 points with 6 points being the maximum and a rarity.
We’ve also added two additional Driver icons, the Microscope and the Blaze.
These have been available and tested in the PAIRIN system for years, but this is the first time they have been made available in the PAIRIN Personal interface.
If one of these qualities is your highest Driver, you will now see that icon instead of the one that was previously shown. It does not change your scores in any way. This is only an indication that the Blaze or the Microscope Driver quality is more intense.
I’ll take responsibility, ask for little and value others a lot.
Let me win; I’ll overcome opposition with force, if necessary.
Coaching Tips
Your scores were impacted when PAIRIN recently implemented changes to better align their algorithms to the original science. PAIRIN made this change as soon as a discrepancy was identified. PAIRIN did a thorough evaluation of all algorithms, and this is the only change required. A note from PAIRIN: We apologize for any frustration this caused. We recognize and appreciate the trust you place in us, and are committed to earning that trust every day.

Microscopes are sensitive and introspective. Their behavior toward others is gentle, obliging and appreciative. They are not showy, flashy or pushy; rather, they are unassuming, reserved, and eager to avoid conflict. They tend to be harder on themselves than most people.
People with a high “Blaze” driver emphasize bold and enterprising behaviors. They can lead with clarity, persuasion and motivation—provided followers don’t feel threatened. Energetic, opinionated and usually outgoing, they aren’t driven to conform to boundaries and social norms.
